A special experience – the captain's dinner

At HAMBURG, we maintain the tradition of the captain's dinner. Twice on every trip, this gala dinner is the highlight of the evening. The occasion for the festive ambience is the arrival of new guests and the warm farewell at the end of each cruise and after many shared experiences. Our experienced captain and the entire crew of the HAMBURG are happy to present themselves on this occasion.

(*Exception: 5 and 6 night cruises with only one captain's dinner and one cocktail)

MS HAMBURG wines on board: red wine and white wine from exclusive bottling from the Weingut gorgo

"The wine press is managed by the owner himself, who has been advised by an oenologist he trusts for almost thirty years now.

The cultivation process at the winery is closely linked to local traditions. Only organic fertilizers are used and the soil is kept clean by milling, especially in the young vine plantations. The harvest is practically carried out by hand and therefore usually lasts 30-45 days, so that in some special locations the grapes have the opportunity to fully ripen until the grapes from which Moscato Rosé is made are "overripe".

For many years, the best guarantor of first-class service and catering has been our partner, the Ligabue Group ligabue group

Exterior painting of the ship's hullIn order to keep fuel consumption as low as possible, it is important to prevent fouling on the hull and not to pollute the environment. This is achieved through the use of a TBT and biocide-free coating of the hull.
Treatment of waste and its preventionIn accordance with international regulations, our waste management plan provides for the conscientious separation of waste that is recycled or, if necessary, disposed of by specialist companies in suitable ports. Packaging material is not used within the framework of hygiene regulations. As far as possible, paper and cardboard-like materials are used, which can be reused after appropriate processing.
Water managementThe HAMBURG has an effective osmosis system that can be used to treat salt water for consumption on board. Wastewater is disposed of properly in the port.
